"Choose to come together not as two halves to form a whole, as if relationships were meant to repair you, but as two wholes to form a partnership." - Mellowdramatic

For the longest time, I thought I have to find someone who will fill up all my crevices in a relationship. It turns out it is near impossible to find someone who fits you like a jigsaw as everyone is unique.

Hence, a relationship is about finding someone who understand your needs, admire your dreams, appreciate your strengths, empathize your scars, and yet bringing the best out of you without changing your circumstances. Recently, I realized relationships should mirror partnerships, where it is formed to bring two entities to a level that is not achievable, if done alone.

Recently, I found the other whole.

In a chance encounter in my fight class, I met someone who I knew from the internet. With everything that can go wrong with my introverted character, I summed up the courage to reach out to her. (Though in the actual story, she was just curious to see who am I as I didn't seem to pay attention to her). And who would have known, I reached out to a person who understood every inch of me. In Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim, it is known as "Drift Compatibility".

Talking to her was refreshing as a breeze, filled with joy. We agree on almost everything, till the extend that the only thing left was telepathic abilities. Our synchronicity of our future aspirations made it easy for us to support one another. Like partners, who encourage one another and provide each other with resources to succeed. Just that in a life partnerships, love is added into the equation.

We often ask our partners where have he or she been all these while? Well, I guess everyone were priming, and they met one another at the best versions of themselves.

Strive to find not your other half, but your other whole. Form a life partnership and fall in love generously. After all, partnership brings you further.
